PRODUCT CARE

A handmade rug offers excellent durability. Rotate rugs frequently. We recommend regularly rotating the position of the rug to prevent wear in the same area. Repeated friction at the same point can affect the structure of the rug. By rotating, we also prevent the rug from aging unevenly, as continued exposure to the sun may lighten the colours of your rug.

DAILY CLEANING

Vacuum frequently to remove surface dirt and dust. Do not use a vacuum with rotating brushes; avoid vacuuming the fringes.

STAIN REMOVAL

Most stains are easy to eliminate as long as you act immediately. It is essential to prevent stains from drying out. Absorb any excess liquid with a soft towel.

Then use cold to lukewarm water and a sponge. Dampen the stain and soak up the water. Repeat the process until the stain is gone. Do not rub the stain.

Do not use salt or specialty cleaning products, as this can lessen the result of professional cleaning. Before applying a solution, we recommend carrying out a small test on a corner of your rug.

FLUFF

New handtufted rugs can shed a bit of fluff created from excess fibers. Vacuum the rug often at first; after some time, the fluffing will lessen and cease.

PROFESIONAL CLEANING

Professional cleaning should not be done more often than necessary as it inevitably removes some of the wool’s natural protective oils.
